A relaxing retreat to Camp Edwards!

Discover the power of meditation and mindfulness with a retreat to the serene Camp Edwards, located in the San Bernardino mountainside. Instructor Beth Freimuth will enlighten participants on the benefits of meditation and instruct how to implement meditation and mindfulness into your daily routine.
8:15am – Group will meet at Redlands Y (500 E. Citrus Ave.)
8:30am – Group will depart from Redlands Y, caravan to Camp Edwards.*
9:30am – Group will meet at Camp Edwards
10:00am – Meditation Talk with Beth Freimuth
11:30am – Healthy Lunch (Price is included in cost)
12:00pm – Mindfulness Discussion with Beth Friemuth
1:00pm – Nature Walk with Mindfulness
2:00pm – Depart from Camp Edwards
3:00pm – Arrive at Redlands Y, end of day.
*Space is limited to 8 passengers with YMCA transportation services. We ask that any able drivers provide their own transportation to the retreat to allow van access to non-able drivers. Maps to the retreat location will be distributed at Redlands Y prior to trip departure, day of event.
Meet the Instructor: Beth Freimuth
Beth Freimuth is a clinical social worker with expertise in the field of mindfulness and meditation. She has a Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work and a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy from the University of Wisconsin. She currently leads weekly focus groups using meditation and mindfulness for emotion regulation, decreasing depression and anxiety and increasing feelings of peace, joy, love and fulfillment.
Beth has studied with the Dalai Lama’s tutor, Geshe Sopa, studied and practiced meditation in Nepal and has spent the last 10 years teaching mindfulness and meditation. Beth is deeply committed to finding new and creative ways to engage numerous populations in mindfulness practice. She believes wholeheartedly in meeting each individual where they are and using mindfulness techniques that apply directly to their lives and cultural perspective.
