Learn how to live your healthiest life at one of our upcoming Wellness Education Classes!
Throughout the year the YMCA of the East Valley hosts Wellness Classes that focus on Healthy Living through a series of topics including Nutrition and Cooking Classes, Stress Management, Meditation, Injury Prevention, and Community Engagement. We also offer opportunity for certification in CPR, First Aid, and AED. If you are new to fitness or are a returning exerciser, you may consider taking one of our Wellness Education opportunities that focus on setting goals and familiarizing yourself with the Fitness Center, including the YMCA Jump Start Program or Equipment Orientation.
Certification: CPR/First Aid/AED
Obtain your Certification for CPR, First Aid, and AED at the YMCA! This class will provide participants with the knowledge and skills to respond to heart and breathing emergencies for adults, children, and infants. Learn how to perform CPR and how to use an AED machine, while also learning basic first aid. This course is open to the community!

At the YMCA, it is important that all members feel safe and comfortable while utilizing the equipment and services in our facilities. An Equipment Orientation can help you begin your wellness journey by offering you a step-by-step guide on how to use the equipment in the Fitness Center. YMCA Wellness Staff is available to answer your questions and help you determine correct weight and resistance on the machines.
To schedule an Equipment Orientation, please place your request with the Membership Desk at your branch and they will match you with a Wellness Staff member to assist you.
