Nearly 10 years ago, Heather found herself having major health issues. Struggling with past trauma, and anxiety Heather felt that she could no longer push her health to the side.
It was time to take initiative; it was time to change her life.
With goals in mind to lose weight and tone her body, the Y wasn’t the only gym that Heather tried but it was the one that fit. With a passion to better herself and improve, Heather set herself on a path to betterment.
Heather made her laps on the upstairs track at the Redlands Y with her focus set on reaching those goals for herself.
“I felt so inspired to make a difference in my health status and being in an environment like the Y made all the difference to keep me moving forward,” shared Heather.
As Heather made it a habit to exercise at the YMCA, she began to see tremendous progress. Not only was she losing weight and toning her body like she had hoped, Heather’s bloodwork was showing that her dedication to her fitness plan was making a significant difference.
“Losing the weight was one thing but seeing the incredible results of my physical and blood work was incredible,” shared Heather.
It’s not just Heather who has benefitted from the Y’s supportive community – her nephew got involved, too. On Saturdays, it’s a family tradition to root for her nephew in his basketball games and then squeeze in a workout afterwards.
