This 4-week course will feature step-by-step instruction from local computer experts from the PC Place. Instruction will teach children the hardware, software and firmware fundamentals of a desktop computer. Groups of 4 will completely disassemble and reassemble a computer. Once reassembly is complete, we will test out our computers and focus on learning how to use Windows 7 & 10.

Our world is changing. Technology has changed the way that we operate, the way that we process information and the way that we prepare our youth for their future.

For children, exposure to STEM education has become a necessity. In the state of California, students score below the nationwide average on the National Assessment of Educational Progress (See the data here.) Teaming up with the PC Place, the Y hopes to provide exposure and access to STEM-based learning in a fun, exciting way.
