The Redlands Family YMCA has exciting renovations and equipment this Fall!

Nov. 9 – Nov. 28, the Wellness Center will be closed for safety during renovations.
New Cycles and Functional Training Updates
We’re taking cycling to the next level!
We are ecstatic to get started refreshing our Spin Room with new flooring, new cycles, and a kiosk for an interactive experience to keep you motivated and help you meet your goals.
Along with new cycles, the Y will be creating a space to offer Functional Training. Functional Training improves your body’s ability to work efficiently as one unit.
By training multiple muscle groups at the same time, you are helping your body function better as a whole. It also improves coordination, balance, and body awareness, which will help you avoid unnecessary injuries.
By adding equipment like kettlebells, battle ropes, pylo boxes, free weights, and total body resistance rig, you can work with Y instructors and trainers to create compound exercises that mimic everyday movement patterns. These exercises help you perform everyday activities—like walking, squatting to pick up something heavy, pushing a revolving door, or getting in and out of a chair—or preparing to compete in a sport, like soccer, football, or tennis.
Look for new group exercise classes this winter that incorporate Functional Training!
We know closures during this time can be a disruption to your regular routines, but we hope to finish these renovations quickly and offer you a fresh and welcoming space.
