Along with our open swim, the Y offers tons of exciting programs and classes to get you in the water and having fun. From swim lessons to Safety Around Water to water aerobics, take a look at our programs below and how you can make a splash this summer!
Please note: All aquatic centers are equipped with a pool lift to aid in water accessibility for all members.
At the Y, we believe swimming is an important life skill. Our Group Swim lessons prepare individuals of all ages to be strong and confident swimmers. Using a skill based continuum in a safe environment, students learn to stay safe and have fun while in the water.
Ages
Swim groups at the YMCA are a great way for swimmers of all levels to come together and work on their skills in a supportive and collaborative environment. These groups typically consist of swimmers who are at similar skill levels and focus on improving stroke technique, endurance, and overall swimming proficiency. Whether you are a beginner looking to learn the basics of swimming or an experienced swimmer looking to refine your technique and compete, there is a swim group at the YMCA for you.
Ages
The YMCA offers lifeguard and swim instructor classes and clubs provide kids interested in future positions at the Y with valuable hands-on experience. These programs teach essential skills like water safety, rescue techniques, and first aid, and provide opportunities to practice them in real-world scenarios. Additionally, these programs provide a pathway for participants to pursue future employment opportunities as lifeguards or swim instructors at the YMCA.
Ages
The YMCA’s Safety Around Water program is a free and fun way for kids and families to learn crucial water safety skills. You’ll learn how to swim, stay safe in the water, and what to do in case of an emergency. It’s a great way to build confidence and enjoy water activities responsibly. Best of all, it’s free for everyone, so don’t hesitate to join in and make a splash!
Ages
Water exercise classes at the YMCA are a great way to stay fit and have fun at the same time. These classes take place in the pool and are led by certified instructors who provide a low-impact workout that is suitable for all ages and fitness levels. Whether you’re looking to build strength, improve your cardiovascular health, or simply enjoy a refreshing swim, these classes offer something for everyone.
